Fastlink design and manufacture a range of cable assemblies used in a number of applications for testing performance and legal compliance in the motor industry. 

Pictured below are two cables,  the first is used for testing legal compliance by the roadside.  The second is used for fault finding diagnostics, either during initial manufacture or by a local dealer for fault finding within the vehicle's electrical system. 

These two examples are typical cables, ruggerdised, waterproof, very durable and designed for hostile environments.

European Tachograph Cable

This cable is used in electrical testing to connect between the diagnostic port on the digital tachograph and the hand held device used by the compliance officer during road side interrogation.   The cable is approved by VOSA for use in the Mobile Compliance Project BS09 and BS23.

On Board Diagnostics (OBD) Cable

This cable is used during electrical testing to connect the electrical diagnostics port on most modern motor cars to the manufacturer's hand held device.  The software used to integrate the electrical system is down loaded via the internet.
