Schuko sockets can accept two-pin unearthed Type C Plugs, namely CEE 7/16 Europlug and CEE  7/17

A Schuko plug features two round pins for the live and neutral contacts, plus two flat contact areas, hybrid versions (CEE 7/7) have a centre hole to allow it to interface with French style sockets that have the earth pin protruding.  This style of plug/socket is now being accepted by most mainland European countries as the de-facto standard

as with most types of European sockets, schuko sockets can also accept europlugs
